Two men fell 400 meters near Mount Fuji's seventh station. One conscious, one unconscious. Winter trail closure in effect.
Two foreign climbers fell near the seventh station of Mount Fuji and were found near the Hoei crater. Both were conscious when found. The incident occurred on March 9 when the two climbers fell near the new seventh station just before 3pm. A foreign woman who was climbing with them contacted police through a friend at around 2:54pm to report that the two were missing. The Shizuoka Prefectural Police mountain rescue team responded and found the missing climbers.
