Rock mass has fallen onto walking and cycling path. Police on scene, area blocked off, awaiting municipal/NVE representative. Drone being used to assess further risk.
Analysis
A large rock estimated at 20-50 tons fell onto the path, forcing closure of RV36 toward Porsgrunn and the bike/pedestrian path. Geologists have assessed the area and determined it's safe to reopen the road, but will continue monitoring for potential further rockfall.

Rock Slide Assessment on RV36
Geologist assessed area and deemed it safe to reopen RV36 to normal traffic. Estimated 20-50 tons of rock debris present. Further assessment planned at slide site.
